Redevelopment Activities Program
The Redevelopment Activities Program provides funding for the revitalization of older commercial centers to leverage private sector investment. To be considered for these funds, a project must: have support of a neighborhood or business association, have a measurable economic gain, enhance or compliment other UDD or City public improvement projects or activities, and must demonstrate clear benefit to LME areas or address the elimination of blight. For more information please contact Hallie Salem at (402) 441-7866.

Job Creation Assistance Program
The City of Lincoln offers a Job Creation Assistance Program. The guidelines for this program are currently being reviewed. For more details on this program, please contact Troy Gagner, Economic Development Coordinator with the Urban Development Department at (402) 441-7862, or email at tgagner@lincoln.ne.gov .

Façade Improvement Program
The Facade Improvement Loan Program was created by the City of Lincoln to assist in the rehabilitation of commercial properties in the City's traditional commercial centers. Using Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) funds from the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD), the program is designed to improve the visual quality of commercial buildings, maintain the vitality of our neighborhood commercial centers, and provide retail and other commercial opportunities. The program can also help preserve historically / architecturally significant structures and address safety issues by eliminating code deficiencies. Further information including the program summary, program examples, timeline, map of the eligible area, design assistance and façade improvement applications can be found on the City of Lincoln website at the following link http://www.lincoln.ne.gov/city/urban/facade.htm

Housing Development Loan Program
The goal of the Housing Development Loan Program (HDLP) is to support the development of real estate that is idle or under utilized such as a vacant second or third floor of a downtown building. HDLP assists property owners who would like to complete a residential project or development. For more information on the HDLP, contact Steve Werthmann with the Urban Development Department at (402) 441-8621,or email at swerthmann@lincoln.ne.gov .
